Under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economy, Planning, and Regional Development, the Niger Basin Authority (ABN) is organizing, together with its partners (AfDB, IUCN, GIZ, GWP, BOAD and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands) a regional workshop for stakeholders in the Niger Basin on capacity building in hydroclimatic management, climate resilience, sustainability of achievements and climate finance, to be held June 22–25, 2026, in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

The workshop aims to build the capacity of stakeholders to increase investments in climate resilience and water security by improving access to and use of climate information, strengthening measures to ensure the sustainability of investments, and mobilizing significant climate finance resources in the Niger Basin.


Approximately 60 participants are expected to attend this workshop, representing member countries of the Niger Basin, basin organizations, regional and international organizations, technical and financial partners, and policymakers.
